Default Kicker speaker blown?

I am wondering if I have a blown out speaker in my car. I have a 2000 Mustang GT with the Mach setup for speakers that was an option for the car back when the original owners bought the car. There are the triangular speakers on the door in the crevice next to the dashboard that are mounted on the door, I am not sure if all of you are familiar with it or not. I have noticed that when there is bass in a song, the bottom speakers (kicker panel speakers?) will rattle violently and not replicate much bass. I am pretty sure that they might have been blown from the start, and have gotten increasingly horrible. The rest of the speakers seem to be fine, as they replicate pure audio proficiently.

What is the top of the line audio setup for my speakers, and what are their sizes? What do you recommend? What brand? I was thinking JL Audio, Diamond, or Alpine. I want speakers for the back, the tweeters, and some damn good kicker speakers that can actually handle bass, all the way to the maximum setting if I desire. I don't want to buy some garbage that will blow within the first few months or years of buying them, and I want it to be something that consistently maintains it's level of audio quality as superb and clear.

When you say top of the line do you mean $4500 just on a set of speakers or $3-400 on the whole setup? Top of the line is meaningless without a budget.

Rear speakers are generally a waste of money when you could have spent more on the fronts.

A couple of questions to answer...

Do you have an aftermarket HU?
What type of music do you listen to?
Will you install the equipment yourself?

Sorry, what I meant was like 100-400 dollar range. I'd say 450 is as much as I'm really willing to spend, maybe 500.

Yeah I know, I want the full experience though! It would come as a 3 piece set though, right? Tweeters, rear, and kickers?

Yes, I have an Alpine 9887

I listen to rock pretty loudly sometimes, but I sometimes tend to listen to songs with extremely hard bass, such as 808's and Heartbreak.

Absolutely not, I can't do this kind of work on my car, and have no idea how to take apart my door or anything. I had wiring done for an Alpine Type-X and PDX 1.1000 amplifier, and it was all set up, but then I decided that I didn't want to rattle my car to pieces, and got rid of the units themselves. I still have the hidden wires that are under the rug and done extremely professionally to the point where you can't even tell anything is there.

Installation cost will kill half of your budget.

What do you mean by kickers?

I personally would run front comps, a 4 channel amp and a single sub...

Components typically have a set of woofers, a set of tweeters, and a set of crossovers that distribute the sound to the speaker that plays it.

The price range I specified was for equipment only.

By kickers I mean the speakers where your feet are, that are implanted in the door.

What do you mean by that? I already have 2 amps that came with the car and everything is all set up, I just need new speakers. I don't want a sub at all.

2 aftermarket amps or the mach amps?

by referring to them as kickers you will confuse alot of people as some will think you mean the brand kicker, and the other will assume you mean speakers mounted in the kick panels or next to where the dead pedal is mounted by your feet. The speakers in the door are just refered to as the front or door speakers.

They are the mach amps. They go really loud, and that's all I need.

Sorry, I meant the speakers that are by your feet, that are mounted at the bottom of the door.

is the factory radio still in the car? I am betting it is not which means with a little tweeking we can fix it.

Those speakers are just refered to as the door speaker or woofer.

Factory radio is not in the car anymore, I have an Alpine 9887 installed. What do you mean by fixing it? Fix the rattling?

If you already have an aftermarket HU, I would stongly recommend running aftermarket amps.

You get more power and a cleaner signal.
