I have the oppurtunity to purchase (2)-12" 450 watt pioneer subs in a box with a 760 watt amp, they were in the car for 4 years, $180. deal or no deal.

 

it would depend on the amp, but we would need to know more.

 

4 years could be a lot of useage on the subs depending on how they were played

 

thats what I was thinking, This is a deal my son is working on, the guy selling these is a college student that my other son knows, Knowing my older son I would lean toward being rather thrashed. Of course the younger one is looking at being able to put some subs in car so trying to explain that to to him is like talking to a wall.

 

the only thing else I could find out is the amp is a Sony.

 

that would be all you should need to know. Sony makes some good tv's.......

I know you can pick up way better in DFW off of craigslist for a similar price.

 

being a newb to this audio thing, what would be a good setup for a teenager trying to get his first real system. something that will last but not cost an arm and a leg.
