Want something really clean. Help me decide.
FYI, this will not be happening anytime soon, but I want to run probably a single 10" woofer and an amp. I am all about cleanliness and functionality. Everyone knows how small the trunks of these cars are. That being said, I want to build or have built a small, but loud box that hits very clean. I play a lot of golf so I need the room for my sticks on the trunk.
My soon to be cousin in law is very capable of building and wiring a complete system. He really knows what he is doing. But what would be a very capable, but not annoying woofer? I am looking for the most reasonable as possible that likes the lows and highs equally.
I have ran a 10" Alpine Type R in one of my GTi's and needless to say, I was very pleased. I am going for a very budget minded setup. I would like to stay in the $250 range for woofer, amp, and wiring and enclosure.
Anything helps here guys!

your not asking for much are you. for 250 you can get prety good amp or the wires and a pretty good sub. i not saying you can't do what you are wanting for that budget, but i wouldn't trust the cheap products your gonna have to use. there is always the used route but be carefull you don't get shafted.
Heres the deal:
I just got a Pioneer 780W max 2-channel amp. I have an MTX 4500 10" woofer and a box lined up for $50. I know that sub isn't the most watts, but in my experiences they typically sound pretty clean. What do you all think of that setup? Sealed, of course.
I already have the speaker wire ran, the ground ran, and the remote turn on ran, now my task (with the help of a very smart and car audio oriented friend of mine) is to SOMEHOW wire up a hi to low impedance adapter. I am using the factory head unit and this is becoming a pain. We can't splice into the rear speakers because the colors of the wired simply do not match. I took the pass. side door panel off but then realized I could get to it's wires by looking above the kick panel. Which wired can I use for the drivers side? There is a whole mess of them over there and I don't really want to take the door panel and speaker off to see what color wire I should splice.
I really need some guidance her guys. I would absolutely love to splice into something in the head unit that way I don't have to rip the other door panel off. Anything helps.
