Default Shaker500 watts per channel?

Can anyone tell me how many watts per channel the Shaker500 system puts out?

Where are the speaker/amp location and the type/size of speaker in each location?

Thanks

Its supposed to be 500 watts MAX, but i doubt it. There 8" subs in the doors and 6X8 plate speakers up top.The rears are 5X7/6X8 2 ways. Theres 2 amps under the drivers dash on the kick panle and the amps in the right corner in the trunk.

The 6x8s are rated at 25 watts each and those 8s are rated at 60 watts rms per coil. Seems like Shaker 340 would have been a better name for the system. Furthermore, I believe the IC chip amp that powers the door speakers (ETA: 8" subwoofers) is a 40x2 amp. I'd have to verify it again, but I do believe that is what the real world expected power is out of it. Regardless, I would be willing to guess that the RMS power of the Shaker 500 setup is roughly 220 watts, including noise and distortion.

Word of caution, if you decide to power those factory 8s with an after market amp.... I highly doubt they even handle 60 watts RMS per coil. With the coils wired in series to an amplifier rated to provided 70 watts RMS per channel @ 2 ohms, I destroyed one of those Shaker subs.

ETA2:
Here is where the Shaker 500 Amplifiers are located in the driver's side kick area:

This is what the Shaker amp looks like on the inside:

And this is what the back side of the "subwoofer" looks like:

From the front, it looks like a more expensive, high end driver:

Great info and pictures Oldschool... Just curious are the two amps up front the power source for just the 8" subs while the rear amp in the trunk are for the 5x7/6x8 front/rear speakers?

Sorry to bump an old thread, I didn't see a thread that mentioned this specifically when I did a search and figured I'd inquire on the most relevant one...

Actually awesome that you searched first. It is covered in other threads, but probably not with the direct search used..

No, the 2 (if you have a shaker 1000) in the rear are for the subs put back there. The 2 up front are only for the 8´ questionable subs as Oldschool states.

The 4 other speakers, front and rear are powered by the head-unit itself, in this case the shaker/faker.

I always try to do various methods of search before posting. But I also notice that different forums search differently than others so I'm not as successful at one versus another at times.

My initial interpretation from the previous posts was leading me to believe that as well, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks for the clarification Wayne!
