Default Decent sub in a vert?

I want to put a decent sub in my vert, but isnt it a waste without a vented assembly going from the trunk to the cabin?

i wouldnt say its a waste, but you will get more out of a sub by porting the sheet metal under the top folding area.I have a 4X14 port on mine

right now i have 2 Kicker L7's 10" with a 2000 watt amp D class powering them(i had it laying around)The box has about .8 cu ft to the rear and about 1.0 in the front ported through the rear.Im going to change the box and subs as soon as we get the new Phoenix Gold line in.I picked up a Eclipse AVN6620 dirt cheap before they went under and the door speakers are O2 Audio 3 way 8" components with RF 6X8 components in the rear powered by a 800 watt 4 ch.

I fiber glassed the whole trunk where the spare tire goes.
