It is easy
Are you planning on using a after market amplifier to power these speaker(s)
Also what size do you plan on changing them to?
5.25"? 6.5?

yeah it really is easy! I have the Alpine SPR-17S in the front and the Alpine SPR-17C in the rear with the Alpine MRP-F450 4-channel amp

the actual act of replacing the speaker is probably a 2 out of 5 technically. Now if you have the mach system then it is a little harder as you have to bypass the factory amp, not a big deal but it will sound bad otherwise.

we have an alpine hu, that we had installed after Christmas, pretty sure we do not have the mach system as it did not have a 6 disc changer. Do I have to take the whole door panel off to get to the speakers or do the covers come off. We plan on going back with the same size speakers. Thanks for the responses.
