Hey guys
What is the best radar detector?

 

Valentine for sure, if you don't mind paying alot for it.

 

I use the 8500 x50 Blue... I don't have foglights in my 99 coupe so I obtained a fog lamp switch and wired my 8500 to that and tapped to the convertable top fuse for power.

I love that detector... has saved me countless times and will save me countless more

 

i have said it before and will say it again, the best is

beltronics rx65

but will run u 3-4 hundred $$$

 

Your a little overpriced there arent you? I can get one shipped to my house for 240. and also Valentine detectors are better..

i recently sold mine on ebay and it went for 285$

i bought it new for 300 and it was a hell of a deal

 

the V1 is the best, On ebay they sell the V1 Built right into your rearview mirror!!

 

I had a V1 in my Audi TT for several years. The thing rocks. the bidirectional/number of radars thing was a god send and could let you decide if it was real or not.

Just remember the most important thing. It may look cool to mount it on the dash, but higher = better range. You want it up top of the windshield and that can increase the range by over 1000s of feet, and give you time to slow down

well non the less i got a great deal on it when it first came out, but i recomend this unit

to any1, it saved me a couple of times!
