Default mach 460 delete

Hey guys,

I'm looking to take out my mach 460 from my 2004 mustang GT. I am mainly getting rid of it to save weight. I want to get the car down to about 3000lbs or less. I know the rear deck with subs, amps and all that crap weighs a ton so I want to get rid of it. Will my front speakers still work if I get rid of the thing? Can I install some 6x9s back there without completely re-wiring the mustang?

the front woofers are driven by the rear amplifier. If you install an aftermarket deck(As most do) then it is not needed and easily bypassed. The rear speaker size is 5 x 7 so you can fit that or a 6.5 unless you want to cut.

So basically, if I want to get rid of the rear amp rack, I have to get a new deck/speakers and rewire everything?
