taking factory headunit out
Very, very easy. Hardest part for me was disconnecting one of the wiring harnesses, I think the climate control one...

I didn't use that, but... Looking at the pictures of the PAC, it appears that you are going to have to solder the speaker wires, the ground, accessory and power, parking brake, mute, and dimmer like you normally would... I think the only point in the PAC is to let you keep all stock functionality, like the speed volume and maybe the auxiliary jack in the center console.
However, you won't have to cut any of your factory harnesses, which is a big plus.
I think this is the one I used:

Cheap and worked perfectly for everything I wanted. Works with my Shaker 1000 just fine. Just throwing this out there in case you might want to save some $$.
If you use the one I used, you have to wire in a 5V regulator....You probably don't have to do this step with the PAC...

you will need to connect that interface to the radio hrns some way. This is just one step under rocket surgery as you have to connect the red wire to the red wire, yellow to yellow, ect. You do not have to solder if you do not want to as crimp connectors are much easier and also acceptable.
I assume this is going into a shaker system?
