Default Blown fuses?

My radio all of a sudden went out the other day. Saw that one of the fuses was blown and went and got some replacements and when I put them in they instantly blew. Could this be that my amps are shorted out or what? What do yall think i should do

you got a cell phone charger or a multiple 12v power outlets they could cause the fuse to blow

I too would pull the radio and make sure all your connections are good. Make sure there is NO bare wire showing behind it on any wires you have connected to, or left unconnected.

If you just got an aftermarket system that's normal *I will say* what's what happened to me I think 3 fused blow, so I just putted higher amperage fuses and it worked.

Isn't the stock radio a 15amp fuse? I tryied a 20 it flow then I putted a 25 and it worked, I think they blow cuz its now getting more current so It needs a bigger fuse, just don't go crazy or you will F something.

Good luck.

DO NOT EVER EVER EVER DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after 15 yrs installing there has only been ONE car that I was told to upgrade the fuse on and it was an early 90 t-bird because its radio memory wire was fused at 10A. If you are blowing fuses THAT IS NOT NORMAL and inserting a higher rated fuse is asking for a serious electrical repair bill. I have seen pics where people have done this before and later on had a wire melt from the fuseblock to where ever it was grounded at melting many other wires and nearly catching fire.

Like I said I did this and nothing happened, I also said don't put one too big, not trying to start an e fight, since I'm not sure about this. I also used a diagram to my stereo and yes it was wired correctly.

If he has the stock unit then he doesn't not have to do that, and need to get it checked by a professional.
