99-04 Vert. sub set up.
OK,
i have the mach 460, and it sounds good, i just want to fill in my lows.
i also want everyone to keep in mind a few things:
-not looking to blow out tail lights, or shake the hell out of the car next to me
-i am a student and travel to and from school so i need SOME trunk space
-not looking to spend thousands on this project.
my dad actually works with a kenwood distributor so i am looking at a kenwood set up.
Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1200F (12in at 300RMS)
Kenwood KAC-8105D (300 RMS at 4 ohms)
in a sealed box. (i prefer a clean SQ over shaking and rattling)
yes it is a shallow mount, and after putting it together it seems like it saves me my trunk space i need.
anyone just really think this is a terrible idea?
i figure it should do the trick, and the sealed box will keep the hits, even with the top down.

I would go with a Kenwood KAC-9104D and a kicker L7,cvx, or cvr. You can find a cvr for around $60 on the web. I have one 12" cvx in my trunck and it hits really good.
