Question aftermarket sounds systems

I have a 2000 mustang with 2 pioneer 12's and a 1000 watt kenwood amp. To me, it hits pretty good. I'm wanting a better system though, but im not wanting to go all out getting other stuff rather than just the subwoofers and amp, maybe a new cd player but nothing more. Anybody got any ideas that would really make my mustang roar? Also, does anyone have problems with a rattling trunk like i do? I don't know what it's problem is but it's awful. You can stand right beside my car, and can tell I have speakers but all you hear is rattling. From far away, it thumps.

So what exactly are you asking? You want a new head unit? Yea bass will make your trunk rattle lol, my whole car rattles its annoying but something you become acustom to. You can buy some Dynamat, its a little pricey but will give you better sound and get rid of that rattle!

http://www.dynamat.com/

Or you can google Peel and Seal, Lowe's sells it and people use it as an alternative to Dynamat. Its alot cheaper.

no, im not exactly wanting a new head unit, but only some better sounding speakers. i would get a new head unit but i would prefer to get some better speakers, i was just wanting opinions on everyones system and what they think about it .. i have 2 800 watt pioneer 12's, pushed by a 1000 watt kenwood amp. do i need better speakers such as kicker, memphis, or jl audio?

I too have no idea what you are wanting. In the original post you said want maybe a new cd player but nothing more but now you want speakers and no deck.

Figure out what you have, what you want and what you want to do and what you want to spend and we will be happy to help you out but you need to be more clear...

+1.

Personally I don't think Pioneers are bad but I look at them more as entry level subs. I have two Pioneer 10's 500watt in a ported box with a 800 watt amp and thats just right for me.

i have a 10inch kenwood kfcw2512 in my trunk with a 1000watt kenwood amp. the amp puts out about 300 watts RMS to the sub and ppl have told me that it sounds like 2 10s. if i had the money though, the subs that always sound amazing are the apline-type-r. 2 12s or 2 10s will do the trick. for the main speakers though, i wouldnt buy jl audio, waste of money, infinity make great componet speakers or just regular speakers since you have the sub to cover the bass. however i have 4 of the alpine type-r's in my 04 mustang and that stuff sounds amazing with the kenwood sub. always rememeber that you gotta dynamat the trunk and sometimes the door cause that will rattle so hardcore

I could not disagree more. 1rst you kenwood 1000 watt amp puts out 300 rms? thats funny

2nd JL makes great stuff that will last a long time, long enough for you to get your money out of it...

3rd I know some people love infinity but those damn tweets make my ears bleed, just too damn rich and you can't eq them down either.

4th second skin is a much better sound damping material and it is cheaper then dynamat. I have had my hands on most dampers and it is the only one that I will put in my car from now on.

lol thats a pretty broad question...Best bet is to see what you can spend first and put together the best you can with what you have.
