Holy crap....You're still running a cassette deck??

If so, yeah thats about all you should need but I wouldn't expect great sound quality from it.

I guess you don't know anything these cars (SN95 Cobras)

Factory it came with a cd player and cassette deck. It's a Mach 460 system with the sub and all that. If there's another way aside from wiring (unless it's super easy) then I'm all ears.

Nope, unfortunately never had a Cobra. But yeah, it should let you play mp3's just fine.

am not sure what you mean there. You can easily swap out a deck in th mach systems I show ho on page 2 of my cardomian page. The only way to make an MP3 sound worse will be to run it through that adaptor.

Alright, thanks guys. I just checked out your page, but I'll have to check out in my detail later ttocs. I'd obviously just put in a deck that plays MP3 CDs then instead of messing with an mp3 player itself.

you can get a half good deck for $100 now that will play it, for a little more you might be able to get one that will control you mp3 as well and get 10x better sound. When you want to install it hit us up and we will get you through it. Some places will tell you that you need to gut the mach system but they are wrong.

Cassette adapters usually sound better than FM adapters, but both are inferior to a direct connection to your audio system.

If I was looking at a new deck, I'd consider something with a hard drive or connection to an mp3 player, rather than messing with MP3 CDs.

My sister-in-law has an fm hook up to her 2000 maxima and it sounds fine. I don't need bose quality sound. Besides, wiring is out of the question since this would be transported back and forth between both of my cars.

I used a tape like that when I had my older '99 Jetta. For what it is, it's not bad. Sound quality isn't excellent, but it works. I remember you can't have the volume turned up real loud on the iPod or it will sound terrible. You have to keep the iPod volume low and turn up the head unit
