Default Just got an 08 Mustang GT w/ Nav

And there is literally NO Bass in this car, I'm not expecting subwoofers pounding, but there is literally barely any mid range mini-thump..

Is this common? What is a fairly inexpensive solution. Not looking to wire up amps, and subs, and cross overs/ equalizers. I just want alittle thump. It sounds like I am listening to music on a laptop or something (better quality, but bass wise that is a dead on description)

help!

PS (Yes I have adjusted the Bass/ Treble settings on the touch screen Nav-- Bass is all the way up, and it is compareable to other cars I have owned with the Bass all the way down.

It doesn't say shaker on the unit itself, and I am willing to bet it isn't a shaker system. because the Bass is simply not there.

Sounds like the best you can do is replace the speakers. Go to an audio dealer and listen to some.

Found the problem>

I don't have the shaker 500 or 1000 system. (because i just learned that I have a Deluxe Model

with optional leather--

The only standard feature on the GT that I can't have is the Upgraded Sound system.

I also learned by looking up my OEM window sticker online that my car has had Ford Nav added (but not from the factory)---

my car is:
Ford Mustang GT Deluxe code 130A

options:
17 inch bright machine cast alluminum wheels
Interior UPgrade pk/ with Satin aluminum panel
anti theft
HID
Leather sports bucket seats

DEALER ADDED (probably by the request of the initial buyer)- the FORD NAV.

well this just sucks,, This is horrible sound..

Now I use to be a huge bass head, I am talking 4 15s 1000's of watts, top of the line stuff. But now all I want is a decent sounding stock system.

And this isn't what I would consider decent or adequate.

lol well if you used to have all that (4-15"s/1000's of watts) then hooking up a small 300-500w 4 chan ebay amp and replacing the speakers should be a pretty simple/inexpensive solution for you.

Yeah,, I am guessing you are right, Being that I don't have door subs (shaker system) I wonder how much bass improvement I will get out of replacing the upper door speakers and the rear speakers.

I guess I will have to do some research and make it happen.. I just hope the simple bass treble controls on the nav unit will adjust the sound sufficently. (without Equalizers, and crossovers, etc)

It really depends. My wifes Dodge Calibers stock stereo sounds, surprisingly pretty good with only oem door speakers. There are some good 3 ways that would probably satisfy you, obviously more-so with a small amp though.
