Hey guys I was wondering if you could give me directions and tell me what all i would need to wire a 10" sub and amp into the factory head unit? I've installed stereos before just never integrated into the factory set up...

if the amp has high level inputs you can tap off the rear speakers and run the wires into the amp. if your amp doesn't have high level inputs you need the line out converter(loc). you tap off the rear speakers into the loc and then run the rca to the amp. get power, ground, and turn on to the amp. you can buy a loc at must audio stores or online.

 

Since you are just wanting to tap into your factory setup for a sub, you can go with something like this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...AC+SNI-35.html

I'd cheat and tap the LOC into the rear deck speakers.

 

dont do LOC it sucks i did it and omg the subs sounded so bleh, imho it is worth it to get a new hu you will be so much more satisfyed

 

not trying to get rediculous bass just wanna run a small 10'' just to add bass to the there for lacking stock system its not like im trying to skimp out on a legit system dont need it

 

well not that so much but the quality of the bass is so crappy imho, you will be like wtf did i do this for it sounds like sh*t
