Andriod Head-unit - Finally - knew it would happen

Doesn't appeal to me yet, but if I get another car, even a beater at some point I'd probably go this type of route, or a tablet that can have a decent front-end app used.
That one still would put you into an accident fast as it was, since there's no real "at a glance" front-end app used. But still, that type of flexibility for a quarter of the headache and price. Yeah..I'd hit it.

I'm just going to DIY my next "head unit" and build a car PC. Unfortunately, I had hard drive issues the last time I threw one together in 2007.
Since SSDs are more affordable these days, I'm willing to try again.

Unless Iskwezm has any major apps that were seen, Itīs doubtful the bigger names will follow this route ever until a unifying front-end app can be made.
Main reason being liability. As a headunit for even at a glance usage these will continue to come up more as a hazard then a benefit in a single head-unit car. Viability for whatīs really needed still seems likely a year or more away unfortunately.

Well now..
Here we go. A company that sells the OEM systems that go into a number of vehicles did up a proper front-end app, shame it's just for integration for the evil empire Ipad. Still no joy for the droid fans. Bummer.
