Im completely new to subs and amps and my friend got me a super good deal on a Kenwood w3012($40) sub and a Sony xplod xm-gtx1302($80). SO I was wondering if this setup should work? Btw I have a Kenwood bt645u headunit that is already installed and a complete 8 gauge amplifier wiring kit. I have heard that the sony amps arent great, but I dont plan on trying to blast anyone away. Any suggestions would be great.

 

I would honestly look into a new amplifier but take the subwoofer. Where at in California do you reside?

 

Do you have any amp suggestions? I live in norcal bay area
