Odd Situation-- Need Help!
Well, my friend recently purchased two used subs from a friend that we work with. They are Rockford Fosgate 15" P2s. So, we went to a local audio shop to buy an amp, and they told us that they were two different subs. One is a 4 ohm, and the other is a 2 ohm. He said that you could use one amp and run it at 3.33 ohms, which i have no idea how that would work. He recommended the Boston GTA800m, but i was wondering what you guys thinks he should do?
Thanks in advance

i would never use subs with two different impedance on the same channel of a amp. here is what i would do. first go the ebay and pick up two phoenix gold x100.2 amps or one x100.4. then build a box with dual chambers. those amps will make the same power at 2 or 4 ohms bridged. so what you end up with is both subs getting about the same power even though there are different.

bridge it into 2 channels. it can be as simple as taking the + from one channel and the - from the other one.FYI not all amps will run at 2 ohms mono. i chose those amps for several reasons. they will do exactly what you need and are good solid amps.
Are you planning on running the 4 ohm sub on one channel and the 2 ohm sub on the other? If so, your 4 channel amplifier is going to be a wee bit expensive because most of them will not bridge to 2 ohms.
I also wouldn't recommend using subwoofers with a difference in impedance, but that is just me. In a mono situation using the Boston GTA800m with everything connected in parallel, the 2 ohm sub will draw more power than the 4 ohm sub resulting in a level mismatch between the two.
