I have a 94 GT with the mach system. It has a tape deck with a cd player under it. My problem is that half the buttons dont work and I would like to replace it with an aftermarket deck. My question in if I replace it will the other components still work? Not sure if there is an amp or what not in the mach system or not. The system sounds real good right now as is and I dont loose that.

 

the aftermarket one wont work with the factory one. you may be able to pick up a used factory one.

 

I dont want to use the factory cd player underneath if thats what you mean. I forgot to clarify that. I would be removing the tape deck and cd player and replacing it with an aftermarket cd/mp3 player. Will that work?

 

Yes all you need is the wiring harness to plug it in.
