Hey all you.. I have a 96 GT with stock mach 460 and i want to know What i need to do to add a Sub/amp.

I havnt looked but i dont think stock deck has any preouts, but i have heard that there is something i can get that will allow me to add only a sub to the stock system.

is this true and what is this device.

Yes you can do it. You will need an amp, sub, wiring kit, line out converter, and an enclosure. I added a sub to my 2000 mustang that had the mach460 and it sounds great. I went to Tweeter and they told me I needed to replace everything but that isn't true. If you need any help pm me and I can walk you through it.

 

Wal-mart has a scosche line out converter you can tap into it from your stock wires and it allows you to use that signal as a pre-out.
