CD Error / Stereo Questions
Hello all,
I will preface this by saying my car knowledge is limited, so keep that in mind please. I recently got a 2004 mustang convertible. When I first tried to load a CD into the cd player I got a message saying "cd error". There aren't any cd's in it and it won't allow me to put any in right now. My first question would be is this common and if so, is there a simple fix? I was considering upgrading it a little anyway, so my second question was going to be how much of a project would it be to install something myself, or should I just pay a mechanic to do it? I was looking at the Kenwood KDC-MP345U on crutchfield.com and that seems to be something that would fit my needs, but again, I know nothing about car systems and this would be my first project, so I would rather not screw up my car.
Any and all help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
