Default Static?

Well I can here some static from my new speakers, Should I get noise filters to filter some of it out?. I got my gains set to about half on the amp.

Are you running a full aftermarket system? Sometimes unwanted speaker noise is caused by a bad ground. You may want to check them

thanks I did mess with the grounds and settings, the static doesn't seem to be bothering me as much anymore, The Subs on the other hand will make a crackle/ popping sound when the car gets turned on and off sometimes. not sure about the cause of that.

Most audio equipment is usually equipped with a "delay" circuit that waits until the amps are stable when on (or off) before feeding (or disrupting) signal. It sounds like your unit does not have that, hence the "turn on/turn off "thump" or "crackle" you are hearing.

What are your subs hooked up to?

Trying to get an idea of your "static" issue...

Is it continuous? Only occurs when engine is running and no static when engine is off?

Does the static change pitch as you rev the engine?

Different "noises" need different remedies, so I have to ask...

I can actually here static if the engine is on or off. as long as the key is turned. seems to only be 2 speakers, but Ill check again.

can you give us a list of all the componants installed in the car along with how they are wired(series/parallel/ect). its nearly impossible for a mechanic to diagnose engine problems when he doesn't know whats in it, this is the same situation.

Which speakers are you hearing it from as well?

Taking another blind shot at this:

Since the static is occurring even with the engine not running, it sounds like a possible faulty transistor in the amp.

Another thing to check is to make sure that your speaker wire runs aren't pinched somewhere when you put everything back together. I once had a speaker go bad because the wiring got pinched on a seat bolt when reinstalling.

Ok my set up is the shelby kicker subs with the shelby kicker speakers, an alpine mrp-m500 amp for the subs and an alpine mrp-f300 for the speakers. Its moslty the front passenger speaker that i can here it from. usually only if the volume is down and the engine is off is when it is more noticeable. but once i start the car I really dont here it over the sound of the engine. unless I put my ear up to the speaker. but if the engine is off its a little more noticeable.
