Default No sound rear speakers.

I just recently installed a new head unit in my 1992 Mustang Convertible and there is no sound coming out of the rear speakers. The head unit also seems to be running a little hot. It does not have any premium sound in it. Any help is appreciated.

first, not to sound stupid but make sure there are speakers back there, and the are connected. While doing this write down the color of the wires and make sure it is the same up front.
