Default more bass

well i installed one of sonys new cd players, has the ipod connection. im running a 100 watt amp to two 6" X 9" in the back lid but the stereo has another out for a sub setup. i have a couple more amps but there good size, right now the amp im using is pretty small and is mounted above the glove box area. it gets to 125 degrees here in the summer so i dont think ill be able to mount it in the trunk. under the rear seat would be another place id think it would get way to hot. i do have room for another small amp above the glove box but hate to have to buy another. i guess theres a way to mount it under the passengers side glove box area. any ideas. im looking for more bass.

I installed for 7 yrs in scottsdale and put many many subs/amps in the trunk including my own custom system with 1600 watts and 4 subs...... Never had a problem with mine and never heard of a customer comming back complaining about it. You might push it into thermal mode if you are really jammin and have it runnin a low impedence but I would not worry about it.

above the glove box? Love to see a pic of how that works.

well the only amps i have laying are a rampage 150 watt and one called turbo 150 watt. as i remember the rampage was pretty cheap. guess its worth a try. as for above the glove box, well mines a 70 and above the glove box is a big plastic insert that covers the ac/heater duct work. lucky enough there is more than enough room to put a amp in there and still have room on the front and back. ofcourse its an old crankenstein m80 amp. there really small but ive been running two of them in my wifes car and my truck without having and problems at all. they sound great. again her amp is about 9" X 5" so thats pretty small. was a walmart thing many years back. paid $100.00 and have never regretted it. years later, when they opened there new super store, they had a bunch of them on sale for, i believe, $25.00 so i bought a few. now those you cant mount in the truck in the summer, they wont kick on if it 160 degrees inside there. guess they have a thermo protector of some kind.
