Default MAch 460 Static sound??

After driving around town today and just pulled into a parking spot and noticed a "heavy wind" or static sound coming from my speakers. The speakers sound fine if you turn the volume up but when the volume is turned down, you get this weird sound.

I changed the balance and fade to each speaker and no change, ALL the speakers are making the same sound.

I turn off the radio and the sound lingers for a second and when the amps turn off, the sound goes off.

Not familar with the Mach 460 system and have done searches only to find peope having this issue with aftermarket head units.

I have EVERYTHING mach 460 in this car.

48K miles btw.

Any ideas?

Ok, just checked fuses and pulled and replaced connections and the sound stopped.

EDIT: sound came back. Any ideas?

RE EDIT: Checked my Alternator and battery; turns out my batt was bad.

Bought a new battery and the sound has stopped.

Go figure.
