Default Help with 2008 Shaker 500 ipod control

i Just bought my first mustang. It is a 2008 mustang 4.0L V6 with the Shaker 500 Audio System and when i bought it, it had ipod control built in that runs though the center console. It seems to work fine although it will not charge my iPhone 4.

That isn't a huge issue but it would be nice not to have to charge my phone after i drive my car. Has any experienced this issue as well or have any fixes for this?

Thanks

Hey All,
Found an inexpensive fix for this problem myself. Figured I would post it on here in case anyone else has the same issue. I bought a product called the Scoshe passPORT. It is basically an adapter that plugs into the iPod Cable and then into your iphone/ipod that allows it to charge the device. It adds basically no bulk to the cable, has no loss in audio quality and is extremely cheap. I got mine for around $29.

Are you using the AUX port in the console or is this something all together different?

no it was an aftermarket upgrade to my car. it is an actual 30 pin iPod connection that runs into my center console. It is on the left of the 12V power port in the center console. It allows me to control the iPod from the head unit as well.
