The "worry" is about the SJB, as it is not designed to handle any true additional significant load. In our cars, all but the ignition wire are running directly off the SJB anyhow, accessory delay lines all run back to it. The circuit I gave has multiple higher draw lines on that same circuit, so you should be fine with just a small additional draw.

His other concern was that you would use actual fuse taps, rather than the "add a fuse". I have yet to see anyone try to use the bladed true fuse taps outside of a shop, but just in case..

I have read so many of these on hard wiring RD sorry if this has already been covered.

Would it be ok to splice the power into the remote wire behind my aftermarket deck (with an inline fuse) and then ground the ground to something.
