Anybody used or heard things about this Amp, my friend got it and im thinking of going the same route...174.95 on Etronics...The reviews on it are good...

PA actually makes decent amps for the money-all depends on what you are trying to achieve with your set-up. but overall=not bad.

 

Never used PA amps, used there subs, SQ isn't good at all, they can get somewhat loud. And they are FRAGILE. I mean unless you spend 2 weeks breaking them in, expect them to blow. I know a kid cam in here and had us put in 2-2400w PA amps and 2-**** 12's and he blew both subs up 2 days later. His mom tried coming in here and saying they fried because of how we wired it. yeah right.. I haven't had personal experience with the amps though. Anyway if you are buying off the internet be careful, no warranties suck. you fry something, although you only spend $200 on it you'll still be $200 down. That 1920 it says it'll push you'd be lucky to ever see that thing do 1000, expect it to do about 800 rms. This is just my opinion, but if you do still buy it I recommend etronics.com, they also offer a 2-year warranty, I HIGHLY suggest it, spend the extra $35 it'll be well spent if 6 months from now. Don't know if you car or not but these amps are almost indestructable MTX 7801, $450 shipped @ techronics.com and that will outdrive that power acoustik any day of the week, i guarantee it. out-do your friend! If your into main stream product stick with amps like JBL, Alpine, Infinity.
