Upgrading from Shaker 500 to 1000?

Upgrading from Shaker 500 to 1000?
Anyone know if this is possible or how hard it would be. I like the 500 but I would like to get a little more base, and instead of building a box, etc. etc. I would like to get the 2 trunk mounted subs that come with the 1000. I would think it would need another amp for the 2 extra subs but I haven't seen anything about an additional amp.
