Mach 460, only 2 Connectors, Headunit Install Prob
2004, V6. I took these pic's so ya'll can better see what the car has, and from what I've gathered is either missing, or I am running on some wrong(maybe just for this car) info. JVC head unit install. I've followed the wright up's on this best I can untill install came. The radio is the 6 disk unit, Speakers all say Mach, two amp's in trunk under deck. Problem is, Missing connector. The radio has 3 connector ports, but harness only has 2? The Metra 70-5519 adapter has 2. From the wright up these two are all that's needed. The two smaller plugs. Problem is, the middle plug is missing to plug the adapter set into. Reason for replacement- Poor sound quality, CD player part inop- Vol usaly goes in the wrong direction and max'es out when you turn. I've hunted the dash to see if it was tucked up somewhere, no luck. So. Questions are. Is this truely a 460 system? if it is, where's the middle connector?

the "middle" connector was for things like external CD changers (which your car never had what with the radio being a 6CD model) or other accessories. The "big" connector you're holding up in your first pic is the radio's main connector; it has the power, ground, and ACC wires, along with the speaker output wires, and things like bus and/or illumination. the small 8-pin connector is for the audio signal to the subwoofer amps, and the amp enable/clip detect wire. your car most likely doesn't have or need the middle connector.
