Default Speaker Question

I am in the process of redoing my 69 Sportroof Mustang. I am putting in a Classic Auto Air kit and do not need the return vents. When I removed these I had plenty of room and got a great deal on some QS 6 3/4 Kicker Component Speakers for the front, and some 6 1/2's for the rear. I am putting Dynamat in from the firewall back but came across these:

I was wondering if it was worth buying these to put the speakers in to further diminish vibrations.

The mid speakers are 2 1/2" in depth.

My question is two fold

1. Would it be worth getting them to see improvement?

2. Would a 3" depth be deep enough to help amplify the sound?

Thanks very much for your help.

don't bother. if they're just PE foam, they're far too light to damp anything. The only thing they're worthwhile for is keeping water off of the speaker. plus, they form a crappy enclosure behind the speaker and will alter its performance. most if not all door speakers are designed as "infinite baffle" and aren't intended to be used in a box.

Thank you. That is what I thought but it has been awhile since I had a nice aftermarket system in a car.
