I own a 1989 ford mustang lx and I've started tinkering with the sound system. Just installed a new radio and I have moved on to speakers. Everything went smoothly until I got to my driver side door speaker. I took off the door panel and looked for a speaker but there was none, no big deal right, I'm putting new ones in anyway, but there is no wire that runs to the door but there is on the passenger side door. Any ideas on how to wire in a sixth speaker?

 

Look inside the kick panel on the driver's side. It's odd that it's gone but it might have just gotten stuffed back inside from a previous owner.

 

Just Checked. It doesn't look like it. Is there a way that I could wire one in where it was supposed to be if I can't find it as I continue looking through the wiring harness?

 

Sure, you'd be coming right off the back of the head unit with the new wires like the old days lol. Just run the wires under the dash to the door watching for sharp edges and wear points that may cause issues down the road.
