So around 3 months ago my radio display stopped working. The radio itself and the presets all work, BUT Bluetooth audio/ auxiliary will NOT work. For some reason when I say Bluetooth audio it confirms I said Bluetooth audio, then switches the radio to AM.. anyway I’ve been living fine without it but it’s just a very small luxury I’d like to have now. Took it to ford and they said I need a new FDIM (front display interface module). He said the total cost to replace is $663 due to them having to “tune” the module.

my main question is, is tuneing the FDIM even a thing? Or is it just some way of them trying to say I can’t do it myself.

and also is this even my problem with the radio?? Anyone have experience with this?? Thanks for any help.

 

For anyone wondering it’s a 2013 mustang. Not under any warranty.
