Default Radio swap help please

Ok so I have a 2002 mustang with basic audio package. Saying goodbye to my non-functional stock radio and putting a different one in. Obviously. Here's where it gets tricky. I have a 2007 factory ford radio. I know it's gotta be able to work. I'm broke, it's free. Got it for the aux and phone function mostly. But can anyone point me in the right direction on how to wire this. I have the plugs needed, I think. I just want this radio going.

The best thing you could do is buy the wiring harness for the 02 mustang. part linked at the end of comment. This is the part that will plug into the port behind the radio. You will also need the wire harness for the back of the 07 head unit. You will only need the longer of the 3. If you have the cables that plug into the 07 head unit then you just need to solder them to the connector that plugs into your 02 mustang. I would very much advise against cutting harness where the radio plugs into the car, because it is very difficult to solder in such a small place and could end up never working again. The part is $8. So if you solder the connections from the part I linked to the 07 head unit wires, you should be good to go. The part i linked will have a description of each wire, and then I put a picture that shows what each wire of the 07 head unit is. Solder the corresponding wire and you should be good to plug and play.you can also buy a universal mount of the 02 mustang if you dont have anyway to mount it.
