Default Audio questions

I have a 2000 mustang gt coupe and I wanted to know how do I find out if I have a mach audio system or not. Also whats better for highs larger speakers like 6x9's or smaller ones like 6 1/2's if there the same brand and watts. Also again whats better for highs 4 way speakers or 2 way ones. I dont want to mess around with seperate tweeters and everything so I was just thinking of getting 4 or 5 way's.

the best would be 6.5s and 2way the 3ways and 4ways are a bunch of useless marketing crap. you need a very complex crossover to run a 4 way setup and they just dont have it. and to see if you have the mach or not itll say it all over on the speaker grills and radio and other places if it is a mach or not.

drill a hole about 50% off the cars have big enough rubber to poke a hole though for the wire but the others you have to drill and use a gromet. and make it on the side you have your battery it takes less wire then.

there isnt a hole already though? I know I can drill one but I would like that to be a last resort. Ive put in systems for at lest 6 of my friends and my girlfriend plus 2 of my cars and this is the only car ive had trouble finding the hole. Theres definately no hole that I can use already?

It's great that you are running wires for an amp. If you do not have a clue as to how to figure out if there is a mach system or not, you do not sound qualified to work on the car. Go to a shop, and get them to do it. You sound as if you are going to just hack it up, and you will have problems. Save up a few dollars and get it done professionally.

ok why the hell would you post a message just plain flamming me? I got the answer to my question there was no need to post what you posted. I have put it a couple systems so I know what Im doing. Im by no means an expert but I know enough to put in a basic system. I have never worked on a mustang before and I didnt know if the mach 1 system had mach 1 labeled or if the difference was just the fact that it had a cd player or maybe cd changer in the back. Thank you for your post but it was pointless, unhelpful, and uncalled for.
