Default CD changer not working

The Mach 460 CD changer on my 02 gt is not working. I went out to my car to get a CD out of slot 1 and later when i came back the CD changer was in the open position for slot #1 and will not close and will not load. If i hit load or eject or try to change to another slot, it just comes up CD error, it makes no noise or anything. What do you guys think is wrong, a fuse maybe? thanks for any help
