Default Engine Start Button Help

As you can see, I have an 05 vert. I have installed the S2000 start switch. The problem I am having is the relay is staying energized, cranking the car when I turn on the ignition. Here is how it is wired up..........

Pins 1 and 3, from the start switch, are connected to a factory ground and the relay(trigger).

Terminals 87 and 86 go to the ignition.

Termial 30 goes to the starter wire.

Terminal 85 connects to the engine start switch.

This worked fine for a little while, then the relay remained energized.

The switch shows over 2 MOhms when open, less the 40 Ohms when pressed. So I don't think it is the switch.

I have 2 old relays, both work the same way. These are the old style Bosch relays that do not have the built in diode across terminals. I think this is where my problem is.

I'd appreciate any advice here.

Thanks,
Randall
