Default Brand new, Need help!

Hopefully someone could gve an idea or solution! I just bought a 1500wt Hifonics amp, and looking to buy either a JLw7 or RE either XXX or MT subwoofer. And as far as power supply goes will i be alright with just the car battery or would i need...? And as far as an enclosures for a 2k3 mustang w/ mach system. What type of box do you recommend, or should i have one custom made? Also what is the role of a capacitator, will it benefit me?

thnx

well that amp is really not gonna work good with a W7 .. the W7's are all single voice coil@3ohms. the 13W7 has dual 1.5 ohm coils for a load of either .75 ohms or 3 ohms. Unless you go sealed on the XXX...probably not gonna be able to fit a ported box in your trunk. And if you can't fit the XXX, then you can forget the MT. Also the MT is not really a daily driver sub...it was designed for pure spl. I do know ppl who use them as daily but i wouldn't recommend it. And just in case your wondering...this is my sub thats a 15" XXX in 4^3@27htz box.

the new XXX are going to need alot more power than that too. and an MT is an SPL sub only and the XXX is an SQL sub. the new ones arnt out yet and you cant buy the old ones from RE anymore. whats your goals with the subs? then we can help you decide what you want. also is it the bx1500 or the bx1605 the 1605 is quite a bit better.
