Default Couple amp questions

I have 2 of these subs.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1099396539135

Would this amp power them well?
http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2759

My next question is whats better? To run the subs at 4ohms, 2ohms, or 1ohm? and what does lowering the ohms do? Ive always ran my subs at 4ohms.

Last but now least im open to suggestions on amps. Any amps you guys can think of $200 or less? Would a mono amp be better? Thanks for any help.

I am not sure what amp is gonna work but you are gonna want to move away from that product brand. They definitely arent the best in the world.

The fewer ohms you have the less resistance you will have from the sub so the sub will be louder. But the more resistance that you have the better the sound quality. As for amps I like Rockford, JBL, and JL Audio are the three I like the most.

there is not going to be any amps that will power those subs for under 200 new but i would try ebay and spend 200 on a nice used amp.

Its better to run them at lower ohms like 2ohms because the lower the ohms the subs tend to hit harder, but the subs you picked out will only handle 4 ohms which is good because most subs are 8ohms so they will still hit hard, the amp you picked out is good, dont know too much about Lanzar but I know they are used in SPL competitions...

The subs I have are 4ohms but can be wired down to 1ohm. I have another question though. I have 2 amps. a 1000w and 800w amp. Is it possible just as a temporary solution to hook up both amps to one sub just to get some base? The subs have 2 inputs but I didnt know if that would be good or not. I know its not the way to go but I was just thinking for like 2 or 3 weeks until I get a new amp.

VERY BAD!!! you dont want to do that because that sub would be gone! the subs you have you only want to run at about 600 watts each I know a few people that got thoughs subs and ran them at there RMS and still messed them up. the subs you got are WAY OVER RATED I would never run them higher then the RMS. They cant handle the MAX output like they say they can. also unless the 2 amps are matched 100% it will throw off the sub and ruin the voice coil. subs are made to go in and out not side to side if you dont match it 100% one side will be going out futher then the otherside. it wouldnt be going in and out like it was made too

First, i'll correct someone here. The fact that you lower the impedence of the subs has not much to do with the way it sounds---including the volume at which it plays. You guys are somewhat correct but in fact the AMP puts out more power at lower impedences as a general rule, but not always if you consider switching technology. So to say subs play louder at lower impedences is totally wrong because the amp does all the work.

second, if you are dead set on that amp it will be fine for you. just run the coils in parallel on each sub then connect 1 sub to one set of connects on the amp and run the 2nd sub to the other set.

ok I guess I'll scrap the 2amps to one sub idea. haha I can go without base for a week or two to save my sub. As for what you said bonesninja Im not dead set on that amp. Im definately open for suggestions I really dont want to go over say $250 for an amp. The amp Im looking at says its 1000w rms x 2 at 2ohms. Thats more than what I need so why wouldnt that be a good one? Unless its not trully what it says it is. Well I'll probably do some more looking around but If I cant find anything I'll probably just get that one.
