Default Sponsorship Program

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take the time to write this for everyone that have ever been interested in sponsorship from Autobadges.com. Currently we are FULL for the 2005 year (yeah already! LOL) and sorry to say we cannot accept any more full sponsorships...unless its an "all show and go" car that has the potential of a magazine feature. We get approximately 10 emails every week from people wanting to know what they need for sponsorship...so I wanted to give a few pointers for those interested as a business and as a sponsored vehicle:

1. List all of your modifications. You WILL NOT get a sponsorship (good one) from companies if your car is stock. It doesn't matter if you have "plans" for your car....get those plans DONE and then come to companies. Basically what that means is that you have to INVEST into the car to make it a real eye catcher in order to catch the attention for sponsorship to be worth while. Basically you should have a power adder of some sort...supercharger, turbo, nitrous....the more custom the BETTER!

2. Exterior and Interior. You must have done work on the exterior that grabs peoples attention in a respectful way. By this I mean not putting 5 colors on your paint and 2 different rims/rimless, a wing attached on the hood (yes I have seen it). Just put it together clean, and tasteful and it will work for you....believe me. 2 tone paints, custom paints, custom graphics work great for exterior mods. For the interior you must have added work into it. Chrome parts, painted panels, seats are usually a great way to start. Having stock seats sets you back as seats stand out a WHOLE lot to people.

3. Car shows. You MUST attend as many car shows in one year as possible. This doesn't mean only "meets" of cars, but actual judged shows. This is where the most advertising can be done on a vehicle, where people see and ask questions and potential magazine photographers will be. Shows are the test to see just how well you do against cars in your class that have fixed up their vehicles as well. (WINNING= SPONSORSHIPS).

4. ONE MORE POINTER:

If you are every applying for sponsorship you do not approach the company and say "can I get sponsored? What do I have to do? What do YOU offer?"

You should make a written proposal stating the history of your vehicle, what you have done, what you plan to do, achievements, what shows you plan to enter in, shows that you have one, recognitions you have received, sites you are featured on, etc etc

No company will take you seriously when you just send an email saying "How Do I get sponsored" etc

CLIFFNOTES: SPEND $$ Before applying for sponsorship

Thats all I can think of for now, thanks for reading, hope it helps!
