Hey guys, I was looking into tinting my windows for my bullitt, since it not only looks good, but keeps the sun out and i can not have people looking all in my car when i dont want them to. Any recommendations on percentages, and what is actually legal where you live...Im in NC, and I think legal is something high, around 35%

 

I'm not sure about where you live, but legal here in TN is 20%.

I had 35% on my old car and you could clearly see in in daylight, at night it was a little more difficult but you can definitely still see in.

How dark are you looking for?

 

I am looking to get my windows tinted also.. and i also live in n.c.. i want mine where u cant see in day or night.. and if u can see in it during the day its barely.. what % should i go with.

Well you cant get the best of both worlds to be honest with you. I did limo tint (I think 50%? whatever the darkest is) on my rear 3 windows and 30% on my front two. I live in CA and LEGALLY they don't allow any on the sides, but that didn't stop me. You can still see through my 30%. And yes, the limo tint is hard to see out of at nignt. I mean... I don't mind it now, its just a little hard to get used to. But if you go too light, there is really no purpose of even tinting them. Go dark... if you don't, you will regret it.

in mi you can have back windows as dark as you want and only 4' from top down on driver and shoty windows. also 6' tint strip

 

if you want very minimal see thru go 5% all the way around which is limo.

me myself i am gonna do 2.5%(5 over 5) on back windows 5 % on side, 35% on windsheild with a 5%tint strip over that comin down about 6-7". < that isstupid dark.lol

 

35% is the limit in nc. I'm in nc also. I have 20% on the rear, and limo on the quarter, and sides. I like it because i can still see behind me at night, but its dark enough. And you can't see through the sides at alllllll. Just roll your windows down when the cops are around.

 

I live in MD and the legal limit here is also 35% so i went with 35% in the back and 20% on the sides that way if i ever see a cop i can just role the windows down and im legal.

 

ive got 5% on the rear windows and 35% up front and i love it. im in IA our laws say anything in back and nothing up front but ive never been pulled over for tint.
