My brother Kerry lives in Perry Florida and needs advice on selling this car. What advice can y'all give me to pass on to him to help him out? Hoping to get $15,000 - $18,000.
Some additional parts needed to make it a quick sale, looking for steering wheel Mustang logo, new wipers, floor mats, transmission acting up too. He is hearing a clunk when hitting a bump in the road, railroad tracks, and hears it when he backs out in reverse too. Maybe needing new shocks.

Pictures pictures pictures. Ads without pics are annoying. Tell him to contract JJ to take the pics haha. Seriously get some good daylight pictures, do not have the hose or any evidence of just washing it in the pics. Don't concentrate on wheels and such unless you're trying to show a blemish, whole car shots or area shots are better than here's the fender, the trunk lid emblem, blah blah blah.
Clean up everything like it was going to a show. Make sure the fluids are topped off, battery charged and if possible get the car warmed up before the buyer gets there.

As a buyer I don't want to see a warmed up engine, I want to see if it's easy to crank. These are carburetor engines and are not always easy.
Things I would ask (or did ask when buying Lola)
- Original sheetmetal
- No rust
- If rust is present, how much and where.
- New engine - rebuilt or brand new
- Rebuilding tranny - $900-1200 for the new buyer
- If you can diagnose and cure the clunking, that would be a plus.
- Paint condition?
- Interior condition?
- Coupe or Fastback
- GT?
- Mileage?
Be honest in the ad. I don't know how many cars I looked at that were a big waste of time. Let's see some pics and get some more details before guessing on the price.
