CAROLINA CHAT
I was just talking to my GF's dad on facebook and found out a terrible truth about him............ He thinks the Camaro is better than the Mustang. So we had one of those Camaro VS Mustang "debates" (this was on one of my GF's comments so her notifications are probably through the roof)

Ya know, growing up my Dad only drove Chevrolet vehicles with the occasional Chrysler product thrown in. Heck he even had a Renault (rear engine Renault 10..70's model I think) and a Detomaso Pantera (fast car but awful to drive). But NEVER a Ford. When I got old enough to drive my Grandmother had a '71 Pinto in her back yard that had sunk into the ground to the frame but she said "If you can get it running you can have it". For a 16 year old it didn't matter, it was a set of wheels. But I have to admit that it was an awful car. Although most of the cars coming out of Detroit in the 70's. 80's and 90's were horrible. I drove it for a few years and got a 78 Toyota Celica then a 79 Camaro.
I always considered myself a car guy and realized that it doesn't matter who makes it, if you are truly a "car person" you can appreciate a vehicle by any manufacturer. Of course you will have your preference, but that doesn't make one better than another.
The Mustangs that I have owned have only been in the last year. I bought my 08 after driving it and never even considered one before that. But once we experienced the 08 we HAD to have a new one. So we got the 013.
I guess my point is that if you love cars..whether it be modding, racing, cruising, showing, restoring or whatever..you shouldn't limit yourself to just one or one brand. There are cool cars everywhere and if you truly are a gearhead you should appreciate each one for what it is..a cool car.
Oops, didn't mean for that to get so long or preachy sounding.

Can't speak for the old camaros, but the new one is ridiculous with the blind spots. I was even in a convertible with the top down and it was bad. The only thing I like about it is the suspension, it handles better with the IRS and is better equipped (stock) with brakes and tires. Lacking in the power (it was the 400 hp auto) in comparison and found the interior to be cluttered. The center console bugged me, the ***** resembled, for lack of an alternate word, nipples. The honda accord also has this and it looks stupid. Great car with a lot of potential though. Same can be said of the challenger, though I don't think it will ever be as good on a road course without some serious weight chopping and IIRC some suspension reworking. Good for the drag strip though.

well, it's been almost week and I haven't heard from the tuner I chose to go with... I am beginning to think that it's just me. If I don't hear anything from him by the time my wideband gets here I guess I will call Pro-dyno and suck up another $$ hit..
I can't expect a refund from the current shop because I got the SCT tuner from them and their "tunes"...
Yes Jason, I know...
