It's not uncommon for design cues to be shared across a company's line of vehicles. In fact, it brings unity to the brand. Look at BMW for example. They don't look that drastically different between models, hell, the kidney design has become a trademark feature across every one of their cars. While it does look a lot like the Fusion, it also looks a LOT more aggressive than the Fusion and will probably look even more so when it's revealed. I don't think it looks too bad, but I really like the 2010-2014 look so we'll see how it compares. There can still be a lot of finish missing in those leaked pics.
This is what happens when you take those design cues across all models too far. You wind up ruining a flagship model and turning it into something that nobody can figure out what it's supposed to be...

The malibu that took design cues from the camaro, which in turn takes half its power train from the corvette.....and now the tail lights of the camaro are on the vette......

I agree with this though. There's a lot of trim and finish missing from the pictures still. I don't dislike the look of the fusion, in fact it's a pretty decent looking little car, but I do hope the Mustang's final product still comes out with a unique enough and aggressive enough look. I guess we'll know soon enough.
Love the updated pics of the pups and that poor cone of shame face.
I'll have to update with some new ones of Sebastian, he's a trip. This place seems to be going to the dogs...
Also things have been really quiet here.
