Saw this on the morning news -

 

dang, you can see the wheel studs are bent over in the slow mo after the wheels get ripped off. That sucks.

 

I don't think those are the wheel studs Clint.
Its actually the spokes from the rim that got sheared off because the brakes were locked up. Freeze it @ the 0:08 sec mark

I'm kind for curious tho...you're coming out of a turn-sliding-and manage to correct the car, can see the next turn and STILL you stomp on the gas and don't turn the car, then lock up the brakes?? Wonder what broke prior to impact.

 

I'm betting that the throttle stuck when he stabbed it coming out of that other turn.

 

Guess his lug nuts were tight then lol.

 

Mental Note: Do NOT use that drive thru car wash.....HAHAHAHAHA
