Probably in the spare tire compartment. In all likelyhood you're not going to experience a cabin fire so you don't need it rolling around in there. You might find some magnetic strap mounts to mount it on your rear wheel wells too.

So when I left this morning one of my dogs snuck outside and tried to get in the car with me to go to work. Now she's moping at home.
