I've been doing a lot of fishing around places like Falls Lake recently. Surprised I haven't run into any of those damn things yet. I've certainly been keeping an eye out ever since one snuck up on my dad and I when I was a kid.

Guys,i really did it this time. Went to put boat engine back together and in cleaning the block up I noticed a crack by the lifters on one side of the motor, after buying a new head and exhaust manifold with all the gaskets ($1000) the f@#$ing block is cracked ,sorry about my language ,good thing is a 4.3 is the same in a Chevy truck as in my boat (with some small changes like freeze plugs) but all others parts are a bolt on, since I am getting a long block

Sucks about the boat. Don't forget the water pump is different on a marine application when you switch everthing over. Also the camshaft has a different grind than the truck cams most likely.
