Well that's good Dave. Guess there's another reason they all drove crown vics in the past, fewer people could pull the enthusiast card on them that way.

I had one pull over a car next to me today only doing a few mph over the limit, and maybe 1 or 2 faster than me. Cop must have been going over 100 to catch up from where he was parked. Thank goodness for the incognito powers of the Kia lol.

Such bull****. Should be no such thing as unmarked cars.

I would have called 911 and not pulled over until a marked car came.

He just used the speeding as an excuse to do a level 2 inspection.
There are 3 levels of CM (Commercial Motor Vehicle) inspections that can be performed. But an officer cannot pull you over solely to do an inspection.
Level 1 is driver paperwork (license medical card etc). Level 2 is driver and equipment ppw (driver plus tractor/trailer registration, insurance etc.). Level 3 is comprehensive. They measure the thickness of brake pads, the throw on the brake slack adjusters, check tire pressures etc. Level 3 can take a couple of hours.

Those are fun times. I haven't gotten stopped for any DoT inspections here in NC, granted I don't drive a tractor trailer. In NY I got stopped numerous times for inspections.
