It's only 1440 miles. Assuming that you get at least 20 mpg, that's only 72 gallons. I paid as low as $1.85 last week, so let's use that number. That brings us to $133.20 (getting home is your problem). And you could save some weight by just putting the hard top on for the drive out, and then driving back with no top at all (might want to bundle up).
That gets me a hard top for less than $500. Let's do it. I'll even buy you dinner when you get here!
Seriously though, I cam across these wheels, thinking about making the guy a ridiculously low offer like $800.

It's a 1998 right? Might go to the junkyard this weekend, I could pick up the stuff for cheap if you wanted cruise. Just check and see if there is a plug near the charcoal canister which would mean it's prewired.
When I as in school, we had to walk even if it was snowing. It was up hill and into the wind both ways. We didn't have shoes, so we had to wrap our feet in bread bags. We also wrapped our feet in barb wire so we could get traction. I used to carry a baked potato in my pocket to keep me warm, but I didn't get to eat it, I had to reheat it for the next day.
