The Pypes saga
Reminds me of the ordeal I had several years ago with a Pypes midpipe in a kit that was seriously mis-bent. Wouldn't come within 6" of meeting up at the muffler end.
Pypes customer "service" is a joke. Had to go all the way to the president of the company to get anything done, and it was like pulling teeth the whole way.
Good luck man, with Pypes involved, you will need some...

WOW... what a nightmare. Ya know after all this being posted on a "Mustang Forum" I would think it would have been a great opportunity for Pypes to step up and take care of this problem. This is the last place they need any negative publicity... I am glad I left my Pypes exhaust on my 2010 when I traded it in... cuz sfter reading your dilemma Pypes would be the last exhaust system I would ever purchase... Just sayin'....
Pypes stated their policy and asked some basic questions. The OP decided to get defensive/ofensive (threatening) because Pypes said 'no' or wasn't giving in easily. I would've asked the guy I bought the used headers from about fitment on his car especially if the OP didn't see them installed on the car himself.
While I've never been a big fan of Pypes, I don't see that full fault is on them in this case. Not arguing, Just my $0.02

I didn't threaten them, I told him that he was missing an opportunity to have one positive customer service story floating around since all I have read since this began is how terrible their service is. Which I think was also Widow Makers point.
Never did I say that I was going to start a bash thread, and like I said I had no intentions of doing so until he tried to play the seller and I against each other.
and their "policy" is that if you are the original seller they might try to help you but if you aren't then F-U?

The whole refusal to sell one header is strange. At work we have to buy strange components all the time for our machines which are all one use only, and almost every vendor is capable of selling us one components out of an assembly, short of it being something that is mass produced and three levels deep to find the component. Headers are not massed produced, not when compared to the stock exhaust manifolds in quantity or in manufacturing style.
